We will surely miss our wonderful friend and neighbor.  Although we only had a chance to know Elaine for a few years,  we  were fortunate to get to know her for the special lady she was.  What a sharp lady with a  great sense of humor.   We will miss her presence, but take comfort in the fact that she lived life to the fullest.

To Elaine’s Family and Loved Ones,

Many were blessed by the life of Elaine Gold - a beautiful, powerful example of God’s intended design. With wonder, wit and wisdom she often came alongside to encourage in us the strength, hope and compassion needed to move forward meaningfully in our personal journeys. We are most grateful and the hope is that we will become “blessing givers ” much like her.

Lani and I met when we both joined Woodside Avenue school in Franklin Lakes , that was 1978. Her great smile and cheerful voice greeted me in the hallway and instantly we were drawn to each other. She was my dearest friend, mentor, colleague, my laughing partner. Rose , Joann, Lani and I became close friends and shared many glasses of wine and laughter. After I retired and moved to Maryland we continued to call and would laugh and talk about family, friends and husbands. Lani always would end our conversation with “ It was great visiting with you “ it was indeed. I will miss those calls.

School days will always be a comfort for years  ahead.

Elaine and Dan were our neighbors for awhile. But I remember her leading the discussion about “Ruth Bader Ginsberg” at our book club. It was stimulating and thought provoking. She was just the penultimate teacher and it was an exciting discussion. She was someone to cherish and admire.

Elaine and her husband Dan were two of the first people we met when we moved to Fernandina  Beach, FL.  Elaine was  always charming, graceful, kind and welcoming.    She also had a great smile and sense of humor.   I will  miss her and feel lucky I knew her,

Elaine was a dear friend, and I thought of her as a role model of inner strength and grace. She was a natural leader!  Can you imagine starting a social committee at 88 years old?!

She lived each day with spirit and joy. Chris and I cherished our friendship with Elaine and Dan. This was a true gift for us!

We loved her and send our deepest condolences to her family that she loved with all of her heart. They were her raison d’etre!!!!

Elaine Gold is my grandmother, and she was wonderfully sweet, caring and was always excited to see others. She was a wonderful grandmother, cook, listener and person.

Elaine was a true treasure of a friend.  She was always there to send a good word, listen, smile, laugh,  and just be there. Intensely loved her kids, grandkids, great grandkids!! She will be greatly missed…. Hugs for all of her family. Ann and Jeff Radoycis

We will miss Elaine but am so glad we met her and Dan. Only regret are we didn’t meet sooner.   We will cherish our memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family
