

Eleanor Parker Armstrong, 77, went to be with Jesus on November 10, 2014. She was born on August 9, 1937 in Donalsonville, GA to parents Wilma and Sammie Arch Parker. She graduated from Bainbridge High School, Bainbridge, GA with the Class of 1955. She married Michael Armstrong on December 19, 1959, sharing almost 55 years together. She is survived by her husband, Mike; daughter, Delta (Bob) Kraus and grandchildren Daniel, James and Lauren Kraus all of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Delta Rushnell of Bradenton, FL and brother, Tommy Ward of Bainbridge, GA. She enjoyed RV traveling, quilting with the All Stars Quilt Guild, attending luncheons with the Retired Officer’s Wives Club and worshipping at Mandarin Presbyterian Church where she and Mike were members of the Pathfinders Sunday School class. Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, Sunday, November 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Services will be held at Mandarin Presbyterian Church on Monday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. with interment at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Eleanor requested that donations be made in honor of Delta Kraus, to the Narcolepsy Foundation, 129 Waterwheel Lane, North Kingstown, RI 02852, Attn: Eveline Honig.
