Elizabeth Royall Ryan

RYAN Elizabeth Bettye Royall Ryan, 93, passed away January 25, 2012. She was a native and life-long resident of Jacksonville. She had been a member of Riverside Avenue Christian Church for 66 years, where she served in many leadership capacities, and more recently, a member of Avondale United Methodist Church. She was also active with the YWCA and PTA organizations. Her husband, William B. Ryan, preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her son, William B. Ryan, Jr. (Eileen); 2 daughters, Margaret Ryan and Barbara Kirwin (Jim); grandchildren, Shelia Smith (Cub), Constance Marsden (Luke), Treyton Kirwin (Jenn) and Kristen Davis (Danny); great-grandchildren, Lewis Smith, and Trey and Ella Kirwin. There will be no viewing or visitation. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Hospice. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Sterling House at Merrimac. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 30, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Oaklawn Cemetery.
