Emilio Gonzalez-Roig

Emilio was born and raised in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. He served in the U.S. Army as part of the Borinqueneers, and then became a Licensed Civil Engineer. He was married to his loving wife of seventy years Daisy M. Gonzalez, whom passed 7 years prior, and together had four children, eleven grandchildren, and twenty three great grandchildren. Emilio and Daisy moved from Puerto Rico to Jacksonville, Florida in 2013. He then moved to Ocala, Florida in January 2025 where he enjoyed the rest of his life in the frequent company and love of his family.

Emilio's memorial service will occur on February 24 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 5950 State Road 16, St. Augustine, FL 32092. Followed by interment at 2:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
