

A native of Rhode Island, he was born in Newport on September 7, 1950 and graduated from North Kingstown High School. He worked for most of his life as a truck driver and had a passion for motorcycles. He was also a lover of animals, one of his favorites being the rhinoceros.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert P. Burlingham and sister, Elsa (Beattie) McLintock. He is survived by his three loving children, Tanya Burlingham Claxton, Suzanne Burlingham McBroom, and Eric C. Burlingham, Jr.; mother, Doris (Plante) Braun; brother, Thomas A. Beattie, Sr.; sister, Lori B. Burlingham; 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
The family wishes to thank the great staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital and Community Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care.
A private memorial service will be held in Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the International Rhino Foundation (rhinos.org).
