It is with great sadness hearing about Etta’s passing. We were friends since kindergarten. I had no idea that she wasn’t well. My family loved her and will miss her so much. May her memory be a blessing.

Dear Sandi,
I just heard about Etta's passing from Rose Tincher.  I am so sorry!  I treasured the time I got to work with her at the Center.  I will sure miss her UGA stories!  May her memory be a blessing and comfort to you and your family.

Sandy and Heidi, I share your sense of loss, as Etta was a treasured friend. We lived across the hall from each other in Brumby at the University of Georgia. Etta was my stand-in bride at my wedding rehearsal in 1969. We have visited each other and enjoyed a friendship that thrived over 60 years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Your mom was a very special giving and loving lady of southern grace.

Etta and I had a special friendship. It was a 70 year friendship that began at San Jose Elementary when we were in the 2nd grade. I was Miss Jones' regular "go to the office" girl to get paper and other school supplies. Miss Jones always sent me to the office because I was already out in the hall being punished for talking. According to Etta, I showed up at the office, held her hand and took her to our class on her first day at the school. She loved to tell me this story.  I have been very fortunate to have Etta in my life and will deeply miss her. My love to her family who she was so proud of.

I am so saddened to hear of Etta's passing.  I worked with her as a Judaica Shop chair for my synagogue and she in her capacity as Women's League Chair.  She was so dedicated to helping us find the very best Judaica for our shops and making sure we knew the purpose of the ritual items we sell.  She even cautioned us when she thought someone might take advantage of us.  May her memory be for a blessing and bring you comfort at this most difficult time.

I shall never forget Etta’s warm embrace of me as a friend, welcoming this gentile into her home for Passover, visiting at the Beach, and her patience with me as I tried to learn Hebrew.  I only regret that I did not visit with her in this past year.  Thank you, Lord, for this friend.

Etta Fialkow was a true Woman of Valor. She raised to 2 beautiful daughters Sandy and Heidi. She will always be a blessed memory
