Gail Marie Cockerham

Gail Marie Engblom Cockerham of Saint Johns, Florida, beloved wife and mother, born January 21, 1949, died February 25, 2012, and went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus, after a long battle with cancer.

Gail was preceded in death by her father, Roy J. Engblom.

Survivors include her loving husband Ron Cockerham, Saint Johns, FL, her three step-children: Jamison Cockerham and fiancée Sarah King of Bloomington, IN; Ken Cockerham of Gaithersburg, MD; Sarita Cockerham of St. Cloud, MN; a sister, Jean Engblom of Shoreview, MN; a brother, John Engblom and sister-in-law Debbie, niece Cydnie of Isanti, MN; and her mother, Marjorie Engblom, of Cambridge, MN.

Gail was a retired school teacher from Anoka-Hennepin Minnesota School system. She and her husband Ron retired and made their home in Florida in 2001.

Gail was an active member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church. Gail was very active in the church and many church-related ministries, including teaching AWANA at Creekside Christian Church.

There will be a memorial service March 9th at 5:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin on San Jose Boulevard, and a memorial service at Fruit Cove Baptist Church, San Jose Boulevard on March 10th at 2:00 pm.

The family is requesting no flowers. Instead they are asking that donations be made in Gail's honor to Gideons, Fruit Cove Baptist Church Missions, or Community Hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida.
