Gale Clark Bradford was born on September 24, 1932 in Jacksonville, FL and passed on August 10, 2019. Gale studied landscape architecture at the University of Florida before serving as a pilot and flight instructor in the U.S.Navy for four years. Upon leaving the Navy, he became an air traffic controller and instructor for the FAA at Jacksonville Center, where he remained for thirty-four years. Following his time at the FAA, he worked in operations at British Airways for five years; afterwards, he volunteered at Baptist Medical Center.
Gale was a charter member of Mandarin Presbyterian Church and later was a deacon at Christian Family Chapel. Gale, a devoted husband and father, is survived by his wife of 58 years, Larrie Bradford, whom he loved and adored, and his children Neal (Carrie Bradford of Denver, CO), Cynthia (of Jacksonville, FL), and Bryan (Kevin Hatfield of Seattle, WA). He had a zeal for life and loved gardening, traveling, reading, experiencing food from different cultures, and spending time with family and friends.
