George Gerald Dionne Jr.

Jerry served in the United States Navy retiring with 20 years under his belt. After his retirement from the Navy he worked at JEA for a number of years.

Jerry was a devoted husband and a wonderful father and Papa to his children and grandchildren. He was greatly loved by his entire family.

George was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sandra Joy Dionne, his mother Kathryn Mae Dionne, his father George Gerald Dionne, Brothers Lawrence Dionne and Thomas Dionne and sister Joan Hoult.

George is survived by his sister Delores “Pinky” Kitchen (Jerry) and brothers David Dionne (Margaret), Richard Dionne (Carolyn) Kenneth Dionne (Linda) and Michael Dionne (Debbie).

His four children Tammy Boree (Allan),Carol Cross (Cliff), June Hunt (Fred) and Greg Dionne (Dawn). His 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

George and his wife spent their retirement years on Long Lake in Hale Michigan. During which he worked for a number of years at ITT.

George was a kind soul. Did not have a bad word to say about anyone – because he didn’t find his voice until 2006.

A memorial service for George will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11757 Old St Augustine Rd #2001, Jacksonville, FL 32258.
