On May 14, 2014, Geraldine Walker Roberts, age 84, passed away. Gerry was a Jacksonville native born November 30, 1929 to Zelda Davies and John E. Walker. After graduating from Robert E Lee Senior High School in 1948, Gerry began her lifetime career in the insurance industry working over 40 years at various agencies until she retired. She was an active member of Lakewood Presbyterian Church and for 5 years was on the steering committee of PEPS (Progressive Energetic Presbyterian Seniors). She was also a lifetime member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Riverside Chapter. Gerry is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Bruce E. Roberts, two sons – Bruce G. Roberts and John E. Roberts (Sandra), and two grandchildren – J. Fielder Roberts and Jenna D. Mueller (Joseph), and her sister Ernestine Burrows and numerous nieces and nephews. We will celebrate Geraldine’s life and all that she meant to us at three o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Lakewood Presbyterian Church.
