Gerry was a homemaker and is survived by her husband Norman Bowron, her two daughters Deborah Lynn and Karen Deane Stokes, her brother Sydney Jenkins, nephews, nieces, life-long friends and her little dog, Willie.
The family would like to acknowledge the kind and compassionate care provided by Community Hospice and Pallative Care at home these past two months.
Gerry was passionate about life, family, life-long friends and had never met a stranger. Her sense of adventure and discovery knew no bounds from parasailing at seventy to zip-lining the rainforest of Costa Rica at seventy-eight. No challenge not conquered. A loyal and dedicated wife, mother and friend, to all whose love reached everywhere she touched.
The service will be held on March 5, 2018 at 10:00am at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, 12236 Mandarin Rd., Jacksonville, Florida, followed by interment at Oaklawn Cemetery with a lunch reception at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Community Hospice and Pallative Care.
