

Grace is survived by: Sons, Jimmy S. Horne, Jr. and Coleman M. Horne, Sr.(Toni); Sister-in-law, Darlene Squicciarino; Grandchildren, Curtis(Ruth), Crystal, Chelsea, and Cole Horne; Great grandchildren, Melissa & Dean Horne; Niece & Nephew, Michael John Squicciarino(Brenda) and Sandi Squicciarino(Josh).
She was preceded in death by: Parents, Marcel & Ruth Rannou and Michael Robert, Sr. & Mary Jane Squicciarino; Brother, Michael Robert Squicciarino, Jr.
Grace was born on January 6, 1939 in Providence, RI to parents Michael Robert and Ruth Squicciarino. Her parents separated at an early age and her mother remarried Marcel Rannou and her father remarried Mary Jane Lavornia. As a teenager she moved with Mr. And Mrs. Rannou to Sarasota, FL. Grace graduated from Sarasota High School. She married Jimmy S. Horne, Sr. on April 23, 1960. They lived in Jacksonville, FL where they had 2 sons. They later moved to Callahan, FL, remaining there for the rest of their lives.
Grace worked at many places over the years but her specific area of expertise was Insurance Claims. Grace had an interest in CB Radios and her handle was “The Traveling Lady” where she would speak to many friends. As those who knew Grace would agree that she loved to talk on the Telephone and would spend hours doing so. Her and her husband enjoyed Square Dancing, Bowling and numerous trips to Busch Gardens with their sons. She also had a love for collecting things and would do so by visiting Yard Sales and Garage Sales every Saturday. Once the internet came to her house she spent hours browsing eBay to continue her collections.
Grace was a unique woman and will be missed by her family and all her friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, 10/2/2020 from 5pm – 7pm ET and the funeral is scheduled for Saturday, 10/3/2020 at 11am ET at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home located at 1426 Rowe Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32208. Graveside services to follow at Evergreen Cemetery located at 4535 Main St N, Jacksonville, FL 32206. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Grace A. Horne. Flowers are welcome and can be sent to Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home. There is an online registry to leave condolences for the Family.
