PATTERSON – Gregory Alan “Greg” Patterson, 56, passed away on March 3, 2012. Greg was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 23, 1955. He graduated from the University of Maryland. His long banking career including several senior management positions with First Union Bank and starting 1st American Bank. Greg is preceded in death by his father Dale Austin Patterson. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Michanco who he married in Vienna, VA., on January 7, 2000. He is also survived by his sons, James Patrick Patterson, Brian Davis Patterson; daughter Casey Turner Patterson; grandson Austin; step-children Ryan & Paige Michanco; brother Robert Austin; sister Deborah Hottle. Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd is serving the family.
