Helen Marie Knight, On July 20, 2020, a precious lady known to us as Mom, Nanny and Ms. Helen went home to be with her Lord. She is now rejoicing with her dear husband and many other family members and friends. She was Blessed to have lived a long life of 93 years. She was born on September 9, 1926 in Lake City, Florida to Cecelia and Loy T. Carver. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1945. Later she married the love of her life, Charles in 1947; and celebrated 61 years of marriage before the Lord called him home in 2008. She loved the Lord and all of her "Church Families", (being a Pastor's wife she had more than one). Dinsmore Baptist Church was her home church and she has been a faithful member there for several years. She retired from Gulf Life Insurance Company and the Methodist Medical Center. She was blessed and leaves behind 2 sons, Charles D. Knight Jr.(his wife, Linda) and Richard Loy Knight; 4 Granddaughters; 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Even though she worked outside of her home, her full-time "Heart Job" was supporting her dear husband as a wonderful caring Pastor's wife. Sending cards and gifts to those she loved brought her so much joy! She never let a special date pass by without acknowledgement. She was such a giving person. Everyone would agree that her memory, even at the age of 93 was amazing! It is with sad hearts due to the circumstances of the coronavirus, the family has elected to exercise caution and celebrate her "Beautiful Life" with a graveside service. We are asking all to wear mask and observe social distancing.
Her Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 11:00 am
at the Jacksonville Memory Gardens on Blanding Blvd. Pastor Winson Butler and Pastor Joey Rountree, officiating.
