And a host of friends and family that love him dearly
Ja-maal was a quiet person who valued his time with family and friends. Ja-maal loved watching Godzilla, playing video games, basketball, watching the weather channel and listening to music. His favorite song was "Can't Stop the Reign" by Shaquille O'Neal and listening to Jay-z. Ja-maal loved watches, sneakers and hats. His favorite was Giants and Yankees. When he was younger Ja-Maal was into drawing characters, watching Japanese anime, fishing and pretending to be one of the members of the ThunderCats and Power Rangers with his brother and sisters. Ja-maal enjoyed fishing with his family, cooking food and learning new things to make. He also enjoyed going places like Coney Island, Great Adventure and China Town in NYC. Ja-maal was good for doing silly things like practical jokes, cracking jokes on someone or calling you inappropriate names just to get you to laugh, but was always there when you needed him. Ja-maal took pride in his job. He loved being a Petty Officer in the Navy. Ja-maal enjoyed the opportunity to take things apart and putting it back together at work as well as teach others. He was a mentor to new Navy personnel. He will always be remembered as "Jigga."
