DUKES - Jacqueline Dukes, 73, passed away Monday, September 29, 2015. Born in New York City, she made her home in Jacksonville many years ago. Mrs. Dukes had retired from the city of Jacksonville and was a longtime member of St. Stephens AME Church, 913 West 5th Street where funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00 AM with the Reverend Dr. Michael C. Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery. Mrs. Dukes was predeceased by a daughter, Anesta Lenhardt, in 2011. Her surviving family includes: 3 daughters, Deborah Green, Mamie (Damon) Dunn and Michelle Jackson; 2 sons, Roberto Lenhardt and David (Selena) Lenhardt; 3 sisters, Julie “Cassandra” Williams, Abigail (Curtis) Taylor and Richardene (David) Brewer; 10 grandchildren, Ricky, Joshua, Jackie, Nicole, Damion, Damon, Estabon, Desiree’, Omar and Amelia and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. The family will receive friends at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave., Friday, October 2 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
