Jaime M. Revollo MD, 81, passed away suddenly and peacefully this past Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Potosi, Bolivia and immigrated to the United States in 1958. He entered in the US Army serving his country honorably as a Specialist Lab Technician. He used his knowledge and talents to graduate UCLA and entered into the prestigious UCSF Medical School in 1974 then completed a Family Medicine residency in Buffalo, NY. His medical career led him to Jacksonville, FL where he has been the primary care provider for thousands of patients for over 44 years. He started a private practice and opened one of the first urgent care centers, San Jose Emergency Care Center, with his brother and radiologist, Humberto Revollo, MD. He was one of the first physicians who cared for, and treated, HIV and AIDS patients. He became a member of St Vincent’s primary care physicians where he taught residents in their Family Medicine Residency Program. His final move was to the Agape Family Medicine Clinic until the time of his death. Dr Revollo had such a positive impact with his caring and compassionate care that his patients became lifelong patients and followed him wherever he practiced medicine. With his three girls, he loved camping, fishing and boating. With his son, Jaime Jr., he enjoyed constructing elaborate train displays as well as a massive fantasy treehouse in his own back yard. His profound interest and curiosity of history and heritage was a great bond that he and his wife Jennie shared immensely.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jennie Brown Revollo, brother Humberto(Blanca) Revollo MD, sister Alicia Tabler, sister Cristina(Gaston) Solis. Daughters: Rhonda Lorenz MD, Krista Peel, Dyana (Alex) Ojeda, Son: Jaime M Revollo, Jr. Sister-in-law Sharon (dec. Denny) Moran and Pam (Dennis) Hemmer, brother-in-laws Charles C (Connie) Brown, Joseph (Nancy) Brown .. Grandchildren: Christina Stauffer, Mark E Lorenz, Christopher Peel, Sarah Peel, Maya Ojeda. Great-grandson Kylar May.
He is preceded in death by his parents Humberto Revollo and Alicia Torres as well as his sister Marcella Revollo,
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018, 10am. at St Matthew’s Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210 with Father Jose Kulathinal officiating, The vigil will be held Friday June 1, 2018 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel, 729 S Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32205. HARDAGE-GIDDENS EDGEWOOD CHAPEL is serving the family.
