Jane Lovell McNeill, age 73, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014, following a brave struggle with a lengthy illness. She was born in Syracuse, New York and lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a graduate of the University of Miami with a Bachelors of Education. She was a member of PEO for over 50 years and an amateur chef, as well as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Jane is survived by her husband, Dr. Wyatt McNeill, and sons, William Bryan McNeill of Elkridge, Maryland and Robert (Cindy) Lovell McNeill of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Jessie, Alesha, Charlie, Caroline, Emily and Scott. Jane was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan McNeill Carter.
Interment will be private at Oaklawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made on her behalf to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. Jane will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
