Janet was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Arthur A. and Mary T (DeCosta) Raposa and was raised in Tiverton, Rhode Island where she later met her future husband Airmen Lide E. Price who was stationed at Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts. They were married for 62 years. Janet has been preceded in death by her loving husband. She leaves to carry on her memory a son Russell E Price daughter in law Patricia (Wilson) a daughter Tina M. Price. five grandchildren Jennifer, Rachael, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Leo and twelve great grandchildren, Alexavier, Edward, Emma, Shyanne, Emiley, Olivia, Kaylynn, Baylee, Colton, Allie, Aubree, and Carter.
Janet became a licensed and talented cosmetologist and skillful esthetician teacher. She owned and successfully operated two beauty salons for many years. Janet and her husband, Lide, moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1986. Janet was very active in her church, Resurrection Catholic Church for over 30 years giving of her time, talents, and experience in the children’s music ministry, healing service ministry and as an instructor of children’s religious education. Janet used her musical talent to compose many inspiring and uplifting songs which gave glory to God. She was also a Eucharistic Adorer. Janet was a very avid reader, she enjoyed relaxing with the Hallmark channel while cuddling with her cats. Janet was an accomplished seamstress and she enjoyed making garments for herself and her family. She lived a long happy life as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and beloved sister and aunt.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held from Resurrection Catholic Church. MASS July 18, 2023, at 11 am
She will be interred next to her husband at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
