Janice Powell Bryan

Janice Powell Bryan passed away peacefully on August 20, 2019. She was born on November 6, 1930 in Memphis, TN however spent most of her life in Jacksonville and graduated from Fletcher High School in 1949. Janice delighted in being a homemaker and raising her 3 children. There was always something cooking in Janice’s kitchen! Later in life, she became a travel agent and enjoyed many adventures around the world with friends. She was also an avid knitter and made many beautiful things for friends and family.

Anyone who knew Janice, knew she was an animal lover. We know her beloved pets throughout her lifetime were waiting for her at the rainbow bridge: her dogs Cindy, Baby, Ginger, Brandi, and her much loved cats Peaches, Charlie, and Tartu.

Janice was predeceased by her husband, Lon Bryan Jr. She is survived by her three children, Lon Bryan III (Pat), Karen Bryan and Kathy Sanders (John). She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren Lon Bryan IV (Sharon), Courtney Stoner (Lance), Josh Sanders (Stacey), Emily Sanders and Thomas Sanders along with her 3 great grandchildren, Declan, Davis and Watts Stoner.

A private memorial service will be held on Friday August 23, 2019 at 11am at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL.
