Jeff Vickers

He attained a Business Marketing degree from Florida State University in 1979, and served as Treasurer of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Upon graduating Jeff joined the U.S. Navy, commissioned in as a Navy Aviator in Sept 1981.

He ended his naval career as a Lieutenant Commander. He worked in airport management for 10 years in Dallas and Texarkana, Texas and Panama City, Florida.

One of his greatest achievements was owning and operating a roofing company, Home and Roof Systems for the past 15 years, where he earned an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau for the entirety of its operation.

Becoming a Christian at the age of 10, Jeff was a faithful committed servant in church serving as an adult Sunday school teacher, and ordained as a Deacon in May 1989. Serving God was his main focus in life. He was an active member at Deermeadows Baptist Church.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 26 years, Bonnie Vickers; two daughters, Victoria Leigh Vickers, a Senior at Florida State University in Tallahassee and Lauryn Nicole Vickers, a Junior at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, and mother, Jacqueline Vickers of Jacksonville.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, Nov 1st at Deermeadows Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Riley as Officiant.
