

FRANTZ - Jeri (Geraldine Von Genk) Frantz was born on November 9, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Lt. Commander Henry E. Von Genk, Jr. and GeeGee (Geraldine Galdys Barcomb) Von Genk. Jeri gave up her cancer battle of 19 years and went to God on April 2, 2019.
Jeri was blessed with a photographic memory and was a member of the Mensa Society. A Past President of the Sons and Daughters of the Pearl Harbor Survivor Society, the Navy League and Jacksonville Women's Business Society. As a person who loved her country, she volunteered to the Duval County Supervisor of Elections as a poll watcher, the TPC Committee, the Jacksonville Jazz Festival in the Green Room for many years as well as volunteering for the Corporate Tent for the Super Bowl. As a talented artist, her career started doing Commercial Art for the headquarters of Albertsons in Orlando, Art Director for Barnett Brass & Copper and then she started her own company Frantz Hardtke Advertising. One of her long term clients for almost 40 years was Revlon Professional out of NYC and later Colomer USA in Jacksonville, FL. She created the art for hair care, brochures, calendars, promotions as well as a master at touching up the models photos to look like Movie Stars. She was in the process of opening up an Art and Jewelry Gallery under the name of 3 Von Genk one week before she was diagnosed with the return of her cancer. She was a member of the Gem and Mineral Society. She was accomplished Silver Smither and faceting semi-precious gem stones. She created one of a Kind Jewelry which she sold. She had so many designs in her head she could hardly create them fast enough.
She was an avid reader, an outstanding Horticulturist, Sailing, Artist, Fisher person, loved animals, and took great care of elderly ladies. If she was your friend, she was a friend for life.
She was a beautiful, intelligent woman who possessed A Heart of Gold. She was a loving and wonderful sister and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her brother, Henry E. Von Genk, III, and her sisters, Dena (Birdena Von Genk) Hufford and April (Von Genk) Hardtke. Her Cousins, Mike Sprague, Bob Azroff, Jeannie Hernandez and Patti Chappell. Her Nephews, Paolo Hardtke and Greg Hufford. Her Niece, Tina (Hardtke) Branch. Her Great Nephews Giovanni Hardtke and Oscar Hufford. Her Great Nieces, Chelsea (Branch) Smith, Taylor Branch, Gabriella Hardtke and Olive Hufford. Her Great Great Nephew Dean Smith. Her lifelong beloved friend, Joanne Martin and her Ex-husband, Buzz Frantz.
