

WINDHAM – LCDR Jimmy Roscoe Windham, USN (Ret), 63, passed away February 5, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born in Dothan, AL to Wayne E. and Olga Hicks Windham, Jimmy was a loving husband, beloved father, devoted grandfather, loyal friend and True American.
He was a lover of classic American cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and Key West, FL. There was nothing he couldn’t or wouldn’t do for others.
Jimmy retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service before retiring from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office after 17 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Catherine M. Windham; mother, Olga G. Windham; daughters, Lauren Windham Cowgill (Casey) and Wendy Jeanine Cummings (Jason Hatcher); siblings, Jerry Windham (Gayle), Ronnie Windham, Janet Sivels, and Michael Windham (Lee); grandchildren, Jackson Cowgill, Kannon Cowgill, Kathryn Cowgill, and Chase Cummings.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday (today), February 8th with a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy’s name to Community Hospice of NE FL, to the Navy Relief Fund, or to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
