Our beloved mother, Jo Ann Parrot Booher, passed away peacefully at home in Jacksonville, Florida on December 12, 2025, at the age of 89. She is survived by her children Jeff (Kim), Steve (Christy), and Linda who will always remember her as the most marvelously devoted mother and always a voice of kindness, and by her grandchildren Jason (Nicole), Brianna (Mack), Courtney (Tyler), Kiara, David, and Addison, and by her great granddaughter, Aubree. Jo was born in Miami to Haskell Quinn (Polly) and Jessie (Tossie) Parrott. They moved to Jacksonville in her youth where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and Valdosta State University. She was continually organizing fun family activities like boating, crabbing, shrimping, and riding dirt bikes. She was a member of Lakewood Methodist Church for more than 60 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dr. David O. Booher, in 2007. We rest assured that she is now in the presence of her Lord Jesus.
Services will be held at Lakewood Church of Jacksonville, 6133 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32217, on January 12 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception following immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any gifts be made to Lakewood Church of Jacksonville.
