John is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served in Vietnam and received the Purple Heart for his service
John also spent time as a Volkswagen mechanic, worked as a librarian for the Naval War College in Rhode Island, and was a forklift operator for the United States Postal Service.
John was also 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He was a member Ambassador and Head Usher at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
John is survived by his daughter, Renee Reilly; son, John Giordano Jr; son-in-law, Keith Hostutler; two grandchildren, Desiree Reilly & Kelsey Hostutler.
A visitation for John will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
