John Adam McLean, 79, passed away on May 31, 2016. He was born in Philadelphia, PA., on July 9, 1936. He has resided in Jacksonville, Florida since 1983. "Jack" as he was known by his family and friends, was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mandarin and the Local Moose Lodge. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Virginia "Jean" McLean. He is also survived by his sisters, Jane, Deloris, and Ruth, his children, John (Fely), Maria, Chris (Carrie), and Shawn (Jennifer). Jack was predeceased in death by his 3 children, Michelle, David and Kimberly. Jack has 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Jack served in the USMC as a Staff sergeant for 22 years and after retirement has been in civil service at NAS Jax for 40+ years. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 2, in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Committal Service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, June 3, at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Deacon Kevin Boudreaux as Officiant.
