Dr. John Alfred Rush, Jr., 85, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring. Dr. Rush was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville where he practiced Anesthesiology for 45 years. He was a past president of the Duval County Medical Society and the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists.
He is predeceased by Betty Ann Green Rush, and his son-in-law, Fred Legere. Survivors include Lally Rush; children, Louise Legere, Beaumont, TX, John (Pam) A. Rush III, Jacksonville, George (Sabrina) Rush, Augusta, GA, Carl (Ann) Rush, Jacksonville , and Elizabeth (Edward) White, Jacksonville Beach; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Elizabeth McCoy, Jacksonville, Lois Clare Rush, Jacksonville and Charles (Laraine) Rush, Flat Rock, NC.
