

John Taber Wolfe, 78, passed away peacefully February 15, 2025. John was born Aug 14, 1946, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Olin F. Wolfe and Margaret T. Wolfe. He is also predeceased by his twin brother Waring “Chip” Wolfe and his older brother O. Franklin Wolfe, Jr. He grew up in Neptune Beach and attended Atlantic Beach Elementary and Fletcher High School, graduating in the Class of ‘65. He was a member of the Volunteer Life Saving Corps where he made numerous rescues. He attended North Fl Jr. College and graduated from FTU, now UCF. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War 1968-1971. He worked as a Real Estate Broker and at the City of Jacksonville in the Real Estate Division where he retired. He is survived by his daughters Christine Sasser (Doug) and Elisabeth Wolfe, grandchildren Sarah, Rachel and Anna Sasser, a niece Amy Wells (Kevin), grandniece, Peyton, and grandnephew, Zach, great grandniece Charlotte, and former spouse and the mother of his children, Anita Meide Wolfe. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 10:00 a.m. at First Christian Church of the Beaches, 2125 Oceanfront, Neptune Beach, FL.
