Jonnie’s early years were shaped by a steadfast commitment to learning and service. She attended Landon High School, continued her education at Florida Southern College where she was an Alpha Chi Omega, and the University of North Florida.
A devoted presence in the life of her church, Jonnie loved Mandarin Presbyterian and served as Director of Mandarin Presbyterian Preschool, offering steady leadership and care to the families she supported. She also found joy in the simple, sustaining rhythms of friendship - playing bridge and spending time with friends who knew her warmth and valued her company.
Jonnie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Collins. She is survived by her sons, Dan and John (Ivonne) and her grandchildren, Mason, Jade, Lauren, and Ryder.
Visitation will be held at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, US, on May 6, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Graveside Service led by Pastor Andrew Stepp will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, US, on May 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am.
