Kenneth E. Jones, Jr., 69, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014. Mr. Jones was born November 8, 1944 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Kenneth Jones and Mary Hickman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Kenny worked on the water for 43 years as a tug boat operator. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Shirley Ann Jones; two daughters, Lora Lea Wolcott (Allen) and Lisa A. Kyllingstad (Michael); three sons, James L. Burden, Dennis K. Burden (Beth) and John E. Jones (Tammy); two sisters, Susan Jones and Laura Swoap; one brother, Ricky Jones; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue. Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
