Kimberly Sue Linkenback joined the arms of our Lord on May 15, 2010. She was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, and has called Florida her home for the past 33 years. Kimberly took to all of Florida’s natural beauty with ease, which included being an avid bird watcher, and enjoyed the comforts of wildlife from her back yard. While tending to her seasonal gardens, she would often enjoy fishing, especially with her Grandchildren; James and Lauren. Everyone obeyed a very strict catch and release policy so that others could enjoy the outdoors as much as she did. As was her nature, Kimberly always thought of others before herself. She had a keen sense of what family should be, and could always be counted on by the ones she loved. She worked tirelessly to ensure that her family had what they needed and was never afraid to break a sweat. Kimberly is survived by her husband George Linkenback, daughter; Tracy Palmo, two sons; Travis and Tyler Atkinson, two grandchildren, Lauren Atkinson and James Palmo, two sisters Lisa Aboudan and Rebecca Alacantara, nieces and nephews in Maryland and Jacksonville, and her mother Mildred Bostic. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations be made to the Bird Sanctuary in Jacksonville (BEAKS): Bird Emergency Aid and Kare Sanctuary,12084 Houston Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32226,(904) 251-2473.
