

Kyle was born on December 10th, 1987, in Jacksonville, FL, to Kenneth and Katherine Olsen. He graduated from Bishop Kenny High School ('06) and pursued his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management at the University of Florida, graduating magna cum laude in 2010. He furthered his education with coursework at the University of North Florida and obtained a certification in personal training. He also completed the Canine Performance Science Program from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Kyle's love for life was evident in his diverse interests. He adored his dog, Maddie, who had been his faithful companion for the past 11 years. Kyle had a deep passion for the arts, enjoying music, drawing, and craftsmanship. He found solace in the outdoors, spending cherished moments golfing, fishing, surfing, wakeboarding, gardening, archery, and skiing. An avid sports enthusiast, he cheered passionately for the Boston Red Sox and the Florida Gators.
Kyle's commitment to serving others was profound, demonstrated through his involvement in domestic and international mission trips, as well as his dedication to supporting the homeless community in Jacksonville. Kyle's heart and dreams were as vast as his love for life. His aspirations were larger than life itself, driven by an unwavering belief in making a difference. He approached every endeavor with enthusiasm and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Kyle is preceded in death by his grandfather, "Daddaddy" John Douglas Grayson ('89), grandmother, "Nanny" Marian Ann Grayson ('23), and grandfather, "Poppop" Kenneth Alan Olsen, Sr. (‘21). He is survived by his loving parents, Kenneth Alan and Katherine Leigh Olsen; grandmother, Evelyn Olsen; siblings, Sarah Chamberlin (Josh) and Tyler Olsen (Kristen); nephews, Oliver Olsen and Jude Chamberlin; niece, Ivy Olsen; and new baby Chamberlin.
