

MOBARAK Lamia Batch Mobarak, 80, passed away on Tuesday June 30, 2015 in Gainesville. Mrs. Mobarak was born in Jerusalem, Israel on May 20, 1935 to Odeh Batch and Maria Bateh Batch. She was a long time resident of Jacksonville. She was a member of the Ramallah Club and Harvest Baptist Church for over 20 years. She loved Jesus and had fond memories of having walked where Jesus walked in Jerusalem. Mrs. Mobarak loved to cook for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and her loving husband of 53 years, Aziz “AZ” Mobarak. She was a loving mother to her children, Elizabeth Mobarak, Diana (Jude) Parfait, George (Janet) and Tony (Pam) Mobarak; and a doting grandmother to Corbett and Mallorie Mobarak and Brandon, Alanna, Alicia and Jonathan Parfait. A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 pm Monday July 6, 2015 at Harvest Baptist Church, 1057 Arlington Rd. with Rev. Wilford McCormick officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00pm at the church. Interment will be beside her husband in Arlington Park Cemetery at a later date.
