Larson "Larry" Dewayne DeLoach

Larson “Larry” DeWayne DeLoach passed away unexpectedly on Friday evening, May 26, 2023. He is survived by Trina DeLoach, his wife of 36 years, his daughter Kathrine, his mother, Marcy, his father, Jimmy, his sister, Dee Dee and his brother, Jason. Additionally, there are 4 nieces (Jackie, Sydney, Kristen and Cassidy), 1 nephew (Allan), 3 great nephews (Zachary, Wesley and Jake) and 1 great niece (Riley).

Larry was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma on February 12, 1965, and spent his formative years living in Miami, Fl. In 1981, he and his family moved to Shelby, North Carolina, where he met the woman who would later become his wife. He graduated from Crest Senior High School in 1983 and then joined the Navy following in his father’s footsteps.

Larry was an honorably discharged veteran from the US Navy with 3 enlistments under his belt and at the time of death was the Operations Director for New Horizons Computer Center where he worked for the last 22 years.

Larry's favorite hobbies were spending time with his family and playing the latest games on his Xbox. Larry was a devoted husband, a kind and loving father, a doting son and a wonderful brother. Larry was a good friend and a responsible and dedicated employee. Larry was always ready with thoughtful advice or a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

There will be a memorial service on Friday June 2, at 11 am at Central Church of the Nazarene – 2130 University Blvd N, Jacksonville Fl. 32211. The Family is requesting that instead of sending cut flower arrangements, to please consider making a donation to the church in his name or purchase only living arrangements.
