

Lawrence H. (Larry) Lipsey, 61, passed away Tuesday, January 29, in Dunedin, FL. He was born on July 29, 1957 in Savannah, GA to Harris and Helen Lipsey whom he lovingly cared for until they passed. He grew up in Jacksonville, FL, graduated from Samuel Wolfson High School and earned degrees from the University of North Florida and the University of South Florida. Larry worked in retail sales most of his career and had also worked for the Internal Revenue Service. In spite of the health issues that he fought long and hard to overcome, Larry had a big heart, was a caring man and had a passion for life, his family, his many friends, travel and photography. He was proud to be an Eagle Scout and he was also an active member of the Florida JCI Senate.
Larry is survived by his brother, Bertram (Vicki) Lipsey, nephews Michael (Gwen) Lipsey and Ben Lipsey, niece Amanda Lipsey and grandnephews Jacob Lipsey and Liam Lipsey.
Graveside services will be Monday, Feb. 4 at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Cemetery, Garden of King David, Jacksonville, FL, Rabbi Robert Goodman officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Congregation Ahavath Chesed-Reform, Jacksonville, or your favorite charity. Larry has requested everyone to please wear a Hawaiian or colorful shirt, no mourning attire, to his graveside service.
