Lucy Mae Aspinall

Lucy M. Aspinall went home peacefully, Thursday July 21, 2017 at the age of 91 with her family by her side. She was born in Granville, Massachusetts on April 9, 1926. She was predeceased by her husband, John; her oldest son, Howard John Aspinall; and brother, Ralph Dickinson. She is survived by her sister, Jennie Maceyka; son, George L. Aspinall (Norma); daughter, Peggy M. Kemery (David); grandchildren, Jamie G. Aspinall (Ricki), Dawn M. Thomas (Greg), Michele Baum; great-grandchildren, Bailey Gray, Brittany and Morgan Thomas. She will be missed by many friends and former co-workers.

She retired after 39+ years in the judicial system of the 4th Judicial circuit, Duval County, and 33 of those years she spent as a Judicial Assistant to Judge Sharon Tanner, of whose friendship she cherished. She was a lifelong member of Women of the Moose Chapter 305 and Daughters of the Nile. A special and heartfelt thanks to staff at Brookdale Mandarin Central for the care, love and respect you showed our mother while she was there. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida.
