Mack K King Sr.

Mack Kirkland King Sr., age 76, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012. He was born in Manchester, GA, but resided in Jacksonville for the past 52 years. Mr. King served on the USS Saratoga and retired from the telephone company after 30 years of service. He was a loyal member of Murray Hill United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was preceded death by his wife Bernice Carter King. Survivors include; son, Mack K. King, Jr. (wife, Theresa), 2 daughters, Victoria Cogburn & Andrea Heck; 6 grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, Jacob, Megan, Tres, & Leslie; sisters, Wynona King and Juanita King, brother in law, Felton Carter (wife, Mardelle) and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, August 23, 2012 at Murray Hill United Methodist Church, 4101 College St. with Rev. Carmen Arnett officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM - Noon Monday morning prior to the service at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 729 S.
