Margaret Ellyn Bartlett passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at her home in Jacksonville, Florida. Margaret was born on January 2, 1954, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Llewellyn Roberts Bartlett Jr. and Mary Leonora Aulin Bartlett. For nearly 20 years, Margaret worked as an Executive Assistant—a role she embraced
with high energy and deep pride and loyalty. Those who worked alongside her learned quickly you can have fun even while working. Her family reflected on Margaret’s life through the words of Scripture found in Mark 12:41–44 and Luke 21:1–4, where Jesus
praised the woman who gave not from her abundance, but from her heart. Marg gave generously of her time, her love, her creativity, and her spirit. She poured herself into others without hesitation, embodying the unwavering acceptance and steadfast kindness
that Jesus calls us to show one another. Her heart was truly larger than this world could hold.
Margaret’s hobbies reflected her joyful, artistic nature. She loved event and party planning, hosting gatherings, painting, playing cards, and collecting “treasures.” Her greatest creative gift was her photography. At every party, family gathering, wedding, or
birthday, Margaret could be found with a camera in hand, capturing the candid, heartfelt moments that now mean more to her loved ones than ever.
She was predeceased by her husband of 22 years, Dave Howard, and is survived by her stepdaughters, Megan Smith (TJ) and Emily Howard; her three sisters, Patricia Armstrong (Tom), Alice Mabry (Neil), and Nancy Asker (Alan); her step-grandchildren, Grace, Wyatt, Trinity (whom she and Dave lovingly raised as their daughter), and Waylon; her nieces and nephews; and longtime friend, Merrick Wade.
Interment services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by CoreyKerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida
