Maria Volpe Johnson

Maria Volpe Johnson, 84, of Jacksonville passed into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on March 31, 2013. She was born on April 1, 1928 in Naples, Italy. Maria was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, George G. Johnson. She is survived by her legacy of children Fran Davis, Edward Williams (Kristina), James Williams, Sheila Bratz (Richard), and Diana Provost. Maria will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. To her multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren she will be forever remembered as Nona. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and loved ones. Nona will be forever remembered in our hearts. The family will receive friends from 5pm – 7pm Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue. The funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, April 5, 2013 at The Jacksonville Assembly of the Body of Christ, 6350 Old Kings Road North, with Elder Paul B. Dyal and Pastor Darrin Dyal officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
