Mary Ellen Luter

Mrs. Luter was born on May 5, 1933, to Edgar and Maude Carter in New Albany, MS. She graduated from the Mississippi State College for women with a Bachelors degree. She worked in the family business, Desktop Darkroom, until she retired at age 87. She was a mother and grandmother who was dedicated and passionate about her family.

Mrs. Luter was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Joseph Howell Luter (2012) and by her son Gregory Howell Luter (2009). She is survived by her son, Michael (LeaAnn); daughter-in-law, Shelley; sister Linda (Carl) Thornton; grandchildren, Christopher, Carianne, Corey, Chandler and Mallory; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
