My thoughts are with you, Carolyn. Although it was never to be that I would meet Mike, I know he was a shining star in your life.

I will miss seeing Mike at the Y so so much. He was what made going to the Y so great. He always had positive things to say and will be truly missed!

I am truly saddened by the loss of Mikey "D" . We had become close over years of spinning classes and mutual battles with cancer. He fought the good fight and we know that he is now  exercising in a better place! He will be truly missed by this YMCA friend. My favorite Uncle....that's how I've always held him in my heart.  Mike meant so much to Brannan and Madolyne.  He will never be  forgotten.

Just another childhood friend of Mike's..  I remember well the nighttime rides on bicycles and kick-the-can games when we were kids in the quiet streets of Wyoming.  I wish I could have known him in later years.  Best wishes to his family and all the comfort that Mike is now pain-free.

Please know of my prayerful sympathy.   I celebrated two Masses fo Mike this weekend in LaCrosse WI where I was preaching for Cross Catholic Outreach.  I have such good memories of Mike from our boyhood days in Wyoming but had not seen him for many years.   He and Mike Real spent an overnight with me at Catholic University in the late 1970's - that may be our last meeting.   RIP in Peace, Mike.

Dear Duncan Family, I have wonderful memories of Mike - passionate, strong, opinionated, spirited and a loving husband and father. He adored Carolyn and she took great care of him...always.

"Do you know anyone from Castleton"?   I always knew it was Mike Duncan calling me when I heard those words.   It launched some long into the night talks between us.   I love him and miss him.

Carolyn and family, please know that our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you.  There was only one Mike - fun-loving, devoted to his family and a friend to so many.  He will be sorely missed.

Mike was my brother. When we were growing up in a small town in Illinois all I wanted to be was to "be like Mike." Thanks Carolyn and Scott for taking care of Mike during his battle with cancer. Brenda and I join with you and Catherine and her boys in mourning the loss of Mike. You're the best!

Con-traaver-see ... He said it was how the Brits spoke the word, controversy. It always amused me when he used it, and now I think of it as an icon of his cleverness and his success as a bon vivant. He was a man of intelligence and wit, one who could attract people just by the twinkle in his eye and the topics of his gab. I loved him like a brother, because he was.
