Michael Anthony Stolica, 85, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Stolica was born in Portland, Oregon and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Stolica was a Cost Analyst for the Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington, D.C. He attended South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church and was an avid reader preferring to read than watch television but did enjoy watching a boxing match. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his daughter Candice Stolica Sullivan. Mr. Stolica is survived by his loving wife, Helen Knight Stolica, his son, Marco Stolica and daughter-in-law Tina Marie Stolica, granddaughter, Brooke Stolica all of Jacksonville and a cousin, Catherine Kerr (Gene “JM”) of Portland, Oregon. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the chapel at Oaklawn with Dr. Vincent Kolb officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery with Military Honors.
