Miles was born September 27, 1934 in North Tonawanda NY to Miles August Lance Sr. and Josephine Lance.
Miles served in the United States Navy, former Firefighter for Wheatfield NY, and was an Attorney for both States of New York and Florida. He was also a member of Mensa.
Miles is survived by his wife Barbara J. Lance of 61 years, sons John Lance of Missouri,
Chris Lance (June) of Florida, Mark Lance of New Jersey, Michael Lance (Caitlyn) of Florida, Nephew Charley Retzer of Oregon, Niece Kimberly Retzer of Texas,
5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Miles is preceded in death by his Parents and Sister.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, located at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. The service is scheduled for February 9, 2026, at 11:00 am.
