

Mona E. Isaac (7/2/36 – 4/30/17), 80 years young, was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida since 1967. Mona was born in Bloomington, Indiana and was formally trained as a cosmetologist. Mona worked in her chosen profession until recently, due to illness. Mona was dearly loved by her family, friends, co-workers and clients. Being an outstanding Nana to her grandchildren, whom she adored, was her most cherished role in life. Mona had a caring and charismatic personality which was with her until the end. Mona is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Fred Isaac; her sister, Mary Hawkins; and brothers, George “Buster” White and James B. White, Jr. Mona was survived by her sons, Barton F. Isaac (Sharon) and Brett J. Isaac (Michelle); stepson, Fred C. Isaac (Marnelle); and stepdaughter, Janet Blacker; grandchildren, Daniel B. Isaac, Grace E. Isaac, Kate A. Isaac, Sarah E. Isaac, Sophie E. Isaac, Brett J. Isaac, Jr., Kori Cameron Stoddard, Rodgers C. Isaac, Kori A. Tafoya and Paige Blacker; and her great-grandchildren, Aysa C. Isaac, Jones W. Stoddard, Sophie F. Stoddard and Elias Isaac.
The family will receive guests from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, located at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville Florida 32207. Funeral services for Mona will be held in the Oaklawn Chapel, Monday, May 8, at 11:00am followed by committal in Oaklawn Cemetery.
