

Nell Harper Clark of Jacksonville, FL passed away on November 16, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Leon D. Clark. Surviving are her daughters, Lynda Pummill (Rick) of New Port Richey and Bonnie Sleiman (Toney) of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Brandon (Mandy), Ashleigh, and Hunter Sleiman; one great-grandchild, Parker Sleiman all of Jacksonville; two sisters, Vivian Mobley and Louise (Clark) Morrison of Charleston, SC; one brother, Wayne Harper (Brabston) of Charlotte, NC and many nieces and nephews. She was born on November 26, 1916 in Marion, SC and the daughter of the late Neill and Annie Harper, has resided in Jacksonville, FL since 1934. She worked for Barnett Bank in Jacksonville for 12 years. Nell expressed her love for God, her family, friends and music. She also had an interest in politics and would have made a notable politician. She was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church and she will be missed by her family and friends. Nell touched many people’s hearts, and loved life to its fullest. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 6-8:00pm at the Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00pm at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4171 Hendricks Avenue Jacksonville with Fr. Tom Deppe, officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Nell’s memory to Wolfsons Children’s Hospital or Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or All Saints Episcopal Church.
