Ouida Marie Coats, age 85, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 30, 2013, at Taylor Care Center in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy illness. A native of Gheens, Louisiana she has resided in Jacksonville for the past 52 years. She was a longtime and active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Her survivors include her husband, James L. Coats, 5 children, Beverly Foret ( Buddy) of Raceland, Louisiana, Cindy Coats Bedient ( Phil) of Sugarland Texas, James L. Coats, Jr. " Jim" ( Elaine), of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Joseph L. Coats of Katy, Texas, John L. Coats ( Cindy) of St. Augustine, Florida. Ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013 10am, located at Greenlawn Funeral Home 4300 Beach Blvd. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013, 10:30am.
