

Pamela Jean Borovsky, age 67 of Saint Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2025, after a long illness. Born Pamela Jean Cooper on September 3, 1957, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Robert Cooper and Carol Jean Gilmer, she was a loving, supportive, and compassionate mother and wife. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she cherished the memories they made together. Pam was known for her strength and kindness; she was always ready to help those in need. The memory of Pam’s generosity and friendliness will bring comfort and smiles to all who knew her.
Pam attended Sandalwood High School and FSCJ. She started a career at Prudential/Aetna, which spanned over 45 years. Throughout her career, she made many close friendships, both personal and professional. She was a strong working mother who raised two daughters and instilled in them the values of hard work and dedication. She volunteered her time as a soccer mom, Girl Scout’s mom, and was actively involved in her daughters’ school activities. She was also an enthusiastic member of her neighborhood community groups.
Pam met her husband, Kevin, of 44 years, in a work carpool after she worked up the courage to ask him on a date. The two were married on March 7, 1981, in Jacksonville, Florida. Together, they started a family with the arrival of their daughter, Alyssa, in October 1992. They later welcomed their youngest daughter, Sophia, in January 1999.
Over the years, Pam and her husband provided a home for cats, many of them rescued. She was a proud cat mom and cat grandmom. She surrounded herself with many lifelong friends and had numerous hobbies. She loved sewing, crocheting, crafting, and reading all genres of books. She will always be remembered for her endless kindness, selflessness, and loving spirit.
Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin and Blonnie Ellis; mother, Carol Jean Gilmer; and father, Robert Cooper. She is survived by her husband, Kevin; her daughters Alyssa Borovsky (Corey Wallace); and Sophia Stanford (Skylar); siblings Karen Casey (Brian), Laura Bowden (Mitchell), Nancy Cooper, Lesley Gilmer, and Craig Gilmer. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at San Jose Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Florida, on June 27, 2025, at 4 pm, officiated by Reverend Sebastian Garcia, with a Celebration of Life to follow in the Parish Hall.
