Patricia Ethel Varano

Patricia Ethel Varano, 85, of Jacksonville FL, and formerly of Shamokin, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Community Hospice McGraw Center for Caring (Mayo Campus) in Jacksonville, Florida.

Born on March 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William C. Hain and Myrtle (Osman) Hain. She was the wife of Charles N. Varano, her husband of 48 years, who passed away in 2002.

Patricia worked as a garment worker for Rifkin Manufacturing and then for many years at the Cluett Peabody & Company’s Arrow Shirt Factory in Shamokin, PA.

Patricia is survived by her son, Jeffrey C. Varano of Jacksonville Florida and his children, Kelly M. Varano of Jacksonville, FL and Todd J. Varano and his wife, Eryn (Snyder) of Charleston, SC; several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by four sisters, Marilyn Erdman, Olga Haupt, Shirley Kappan and Betty Hain; and two brothers, William C. Hain Jr. and Ned Hain.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Pastor Steve Schneller presiding.

Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family in the Northumberland Memorial Park in Stonington, PA.
