Bob was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 16, 1945. He attended Episcopal Academy, the University of North Carolina, the University of Pennsylvania Dental School and the Naval Postgraduate Dental School, Bethesda Maryland. He served in the Navy Dental Corps as a prosthodontist for 30 years, retiring in 2002.
Bob had endless interests and hobbies including surfing, fishing, tennis, golf, woodworking and painting. He also had a passion for serving others, doing dental work on medical mission trips, multiple trips with East West Ministries Intl, and volunteering many summers for Teen Missions International. At home, Bob was a deacon and faithful servant at his church. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his quick wit and good humor in all circumstances, along with a healthy dose of playful mischief.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, daughter Julie Bosma (Mark), son Steven, grandson Grant Bosma (Lily) and great-grandchildren Keelan and Violet, grandson Jack Bosma (Caitlin), and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Virginia Moore and sister Joyce Cummings (Jack).
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Christ Church Presbyterian, 9794 Old St. Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
