Peggy Jane Millard

Peggy Jane Millard went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 21, 2025, after a long and blessed life. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, DeWitt & Lacy (Ingram) Sutton; her siblings Elizabeth Reimer (Clayton), Patsy Lowe (Sonny), Stanley Sutton (Nancy); her dear husband of 41 years, Ted K. Millard; and two stepsons, Rick & Chris.

Peggy was proud to call Franklin NC, San Diego, CA, Athens, GA and most recently Jacksonville, FL home. Peggy is survived by her son, Steve and his wife JoAnn and her pride and joy, her two grandchildren, Delaney Millard Phillips (Garrett) of Denver, CO. and Alex Millard of Jacksonville along with many dear family and friends.

Peggy was truly, blessed by her dialysis team at ARA West, the caring team at Clay Care Mobility and the wonderful caregivers and friends at Discovery Village at Deerwood. Peggy will be remembered by all who knew her for her quick, sweet smile, her constant words of hope and encouragement, her good-hearted “sass” and her love of cats.

In lieu of flowers, we ask you to say a prayer of thanksgiving for Peggy’s life and in her memory, be quick with your smiles and words of hope (& throw in a little “sass”).
